Samsung Electronics held an online event for ‘Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2022: The Epic Standard of Smartphone Experiences’ and unveiled the ‘Galaxy S22’.


There are three types of 'Galaxy S22' series, 'Galaxy S22' and 'Galaxy S22+' with 6.1-inch and 6.6-inch displays, respectively, and 'Galaxy Note' and 'Galaxy S' series with 6.8-inch displays to combine the premium It consists of 'Galaxy S22 Ultra', which presents a new standard for smartphones.
 

The 'Galaxy S22' series features a larger image sensor compared to its predecessor and supports innovative video shooting such as 'Nighto graphy' based on unrivaled AI technology, the company explained. It is equipped with a 4nm processor with significantly enhanced neural network processor (NPU) performance and is the most eco-friendly Galaxy smartphone ever made by applying recycled materials from discarded fishing nets.

Samsung Electronics introduced the ‘Galaxy S22 Ultra’, an S series model that combines the strengths of the ‘Galaxy Note’ and ‘Galaxy S’ in terms of user experience, camera, and performance. For the first time in the S series, the Galaxy S22 Ultra has a built-in ‘S Pen’ that represents the Galaxy Note.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra and S Pen reduce the response speed by about 70% compared to the previous one, allowing users to take notes as quickly and accurately as the user intended among the S Pens ever. It offers a smooth experience like writing with a pen on real paper and recognizes over 80 handwritten languages.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra has a large 6.8-inch screen that makes it easier to take notes, draw, and navigate apps. When you take notes on a Samsung Note, they are automatically synced to other Galaxy devices.
In addition, while inheriting the linear design unique to the Galaxy Note, it has the most premium design among Samsung smartphones by adding luxurious glass and haze finish. In particular, a stylish rear design was completed by applying a metal frame to the circular rim of each lens in a simple and refined floating camera design.

In addition, the Galaxy S22 Ultra supports Wi-Fi 6E, which is twice as fast as Wi-Fi 6, so you can enjoy video streaming and games more comfortably. In addition, it will be equipped with UWB (Ultra-Wideband) technology to easily share files between devices as well as support ‘Samsung Wallet’, which supports digital ID and digital khaki services.

The 'Galaxy S22' series will be released sequentially in markets around the world from February 25. In Korea, the pre-sale runs from February 14th to 21st, and it will be officially released on February 25th. The Galaxy S22 Ultra will be released in four colors: Phantom Black, Phantom White and Green, including a new burgundy color.
